International Fund
for Peace

Our Shared Mission

The Mission of the proposed IF4Peace is to enhance the resilience of societies to find peaceful ways of resolving serious differences.

This new entity will plan to enable a majority of the world’s countries within a generation to have the internal ability to manage their own peacebuilding effectively, preventing important differences from growing into violent conflicts. The overall governance aim is to make it a normal function of governments and society at large to actively and successfully work to foster peace thus lowering the risks of violence with positive economic and societal consequences nationally and internationally.

Why IF4Peace?

IF4Peace is guided by a founding board and global advisers with extensive experience across government, diplomacy, civil society, philanthropy, business, security, technology, media, and peacebuilding.

They serve not only as sources of expertise, but as the leadership group helping establish the Fund and ensuring that it becomes operational and sustained. Together, they have led international initiatives, shaped peace policy, built major institutions and networks, advised governments and donors, mobilized civil society, and communicated complex public issues to global audiences.

Our leadership brings the credibility, networks, and practical judgment needed to influence decision-makers, align resources, elevate effective local practice, and support national systems that make peacebuilding a normal function of governance and society.

Collaborative Partnerships

IF4Peace is being built as a collaborative platform. We seek to engage and leverage existing expertise, to connect countries with partners who can strengthen their capacity for peace.

We are currently exploring partnerships that bring added strength in three areas: evidence, facilitation, and social innovation. Potential early partners include the Institute for Economics and Peace (Sydney) for research and national training, Reos Partners (Canada and South Africa) for light-touch facilitation of multi-stakeholder dialogue, and Ashoka (U.S.) for guidance on engaging social entrepreneurs and changemaker talent.

Additional partnerships can be anticipated.
