The Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) is a globally recognized think tank known for the Global Peace Index, the Positive Peace framework, and data-driven research on peace, conflict, security, and risk. Founded in 2007 by Steve Killelea AM, IEP has helped reshape global understanding of peace by demonstrating its links to economic resilience, development, governance, and social progress.

Headquartered in Sydney, IEP works globally through research, consulting, training, outreach, and partnerships, with offices in New York, Brussels, The Hague, Mexico City, and Nairobi.

Peace Direct is an international NGO dedicated to stopping violence and building lasting peace. For more than two decades, it has partnered with local peacebuilders working in some of the world’s most challenging environments.

By providing funding, resources, and global solidarity, Peace Direct supports local people who are saving lives, resolving conflict, and transforming violence and fear into hope within their communities. Its work is grounded in the belief that lasting peace is possible through the leadership of local peacebuilders.

Peace Direct’s team is primarily based in London and Washington, DC, and works with team members and partners around the world.

Peace Direct is led by CEO Dylan Matthews, who recently served as Chair of CIVICUS, the world’s largest association of civil society organisations, and as Chair of the Alliance for Peacebuilding.
